gowns. True, the house gowns
were carried out in corduroy, but
a certain amount of style was

Gowns of long-waists have been
copied in the negligees. Bell
shaped sleeves, and sometimes
really short sleeves, have found fa
vor with madamc for her "wrap
pers." But this fall there is still an
other Innovation. The house gowns
of the latest design follow the lines
of the coats. Long-walsted, well

Agnes Ayers, featured player in

Magic." The Jacket is a long one,
coming well below the knees. It Is
elaborately and beautifully em
broidered in many colors. The
trousers are wide and of brocade
in a solid color.

BOYS HELD FOB
Fred Thomas and Joo Mayherry
were returned here last night after
being arrested In drams Pass on un
charge of stealing two bicycles from
Rev. Joseph Knotts of this city. The
two boys were picked up by the
(rants Pass authorities when they
attempted to sell one of the Mryeles
at the same store at which Mr.
Knotts had purchased it a short time
aKo. The proprietor of tho estab
lishment recognized the wheel, with
the result that tiie officers took them
into custody and have confined them
in the city jail. They are to plead
before Justice of tile Peace George
Jones this afternoon.
Thomas is the younger of the pair
and claims to be a resident of Cali
fornia. Mayberry says lhat he Is
from NewYork and lhat he in a de
sertir from the I'nited Slates navy.
