Dear Mrs. Ellsbury: I would be very
thankful to you for an answer in the
next Issue of the News-Review. Who
Is the author of the poem "When
Father Rode the Ooat." Thank you.
ANXIOUS CLI'B WORKER
ANXIOUS CLUB WORKER I have
been unable to find the author of this
poem. Perhaps someone will be kind
enough' to send It in. If to I will
print it for you.
Dear Mrs. Ellsbury: Can you tell
me how to talk to my husband. The
thought of his flirting, and slightlv
making love to another woman, just
for fun, is breaking my, heart for I
love him, truly, and wh have our fam
ily. He does this slyly, but I found
it out. I bate the women because
she knows he Is married, and has a
family. He raves of her beauty, when
home, and savs she is such a, good
woman, and has even asked me to
call on her, and be friendly. Some
times I felt I should, but T can't stand
it People like this woman. My hus-
hand is the only mart-led man she
flirts with. What shall 1 do?
AN HONEST WIFE ft MOTHER
Ana. Flirting Is such as elastic
term, that I wonder what you really
mean by It. Do you mean that your
husband enjoys talking to this wom
an, that he admires her, and says ao
to you, and would like for you to have
her for a friend? la that anything to
be breaking your heart (bout? If he
admires har. and wants to talk to her.
see that he does not have to be sly
h"ut It. Make a friend of her your
self. Invite her to your home. Be
lieve me It la the wlaest thing you
can do, and above all don't "talk to
vour husband." Don't ever have a
scene over It, with the slight cause
that you have, but ahow yourself
wisher than either of them. I very
much doubt that there Is anything
wronq at all. A normal man who haa
a wife and family to support loves
them, and will not be faithless to
them, providing they do not make It
hard for him, and the "other woman"
make it eaav. Above everything, dont
let the contrast between this lady
and yourself be noticeable. I have no
sympathy for a woman who makes no
effort to keep her husband satisfied
and hppy, ahd herself attractive, and
eomnlalna If he finds pleaaure In an
other woman'a aociety.
I wish you could read an article bv
Or. Frank Crane called "How to Keep
Your Husband." It la the most prac
tical article of ita kind that I have
ever read, and would belo every wife.
Indeed I wish every wife could read
It. I will be glad to send it to you
if you would care to read It. You
would find more help ln Inat article
than I could ever give you.
