first securing permits, and particu
larly those within the fire limits
w-ho violate the ordinances by erect
ing buildings contrary to the city
statutes, wil be waged by the oily
board of fire commissioners which
is today serving notices that in the
event buildings are constructed con
trary to the luws that they will be
torn down at once and a penalty
provided according to the city's laws.
Recently several persons have put
up wooden sheds within the business
district contrary to law, It is stated,
while on numerous occasions buUd
iugs have been constructed in the
residence part of town without per
mits being secured. All new build
ings, alterations, etc., must be done
under permits issued by the secre
tary of the board of fire commission

hall at any time, and in thq, event
euch a permit is not secured, the
person responsible for the construc
tion or alteration, or repair, may be
fined according to the city ordin
ance covering this matter.
