Angeles. Mr. Athey will accompany
his mother on her return trip to
Hermiston, after spending the win
ter In Los Angeles. Mr. Athey edits
an eight page weekly at Hermiston,
which is in the center of a thriving

enjoyable visit last night at the
Umpnua Hotel. The last time these
two men saw each other was in Paris
following the cessation of hostilities.

Captain Alrd for a number nf months
during action in France and the two
officers formed an attachment which
was apparently severed when they
separated at Paris and lost track of
each other. Meeting unexpectedly last
night, they spent many delightful
hours In swapping reminiscences and
talking over old army days.
