this city, at the Mercy hospital. Mr.
Hamtn Is superintendent of the local
schools. The new arrival has been
named Benjamin Aaron, after his

A mooting of the representatives
from the different ouiniuunll.es Inter
ested in poultry met at the office of
the county agent this morning and
adopted the constitution and by-laws
under which the Douglas County
Poultry-men's association will oper
ate. The following persons were

Cha.ie. secretary; Committeemen,
James H. Clark, Winchester; Ed Bry
ant, Edeubower; J. R. Wilson, Win
ston; L. S. Coinpton, Drain; F. O.
Hogg. Myrtle Creek: C. M. Howard,

rose. The rules and by-laws adopted
were the same as are usually pre
pared for such an organization and
promise co-operation with the Pacific
Poultry Producers, Inc.

Republican Rally
At Old Armory
The republican rally at which the
Hon. Montaville Flowers will be the
speaker will be held tonight at the
old armory in the Elks building.
This room has lieen vacant for sev
eral months, and is being fitted today
for this meeting and the Vally will
lie the best so far during the year.
One of the features will be an orig
inal song written by Mrs. William
Klotzer. of Yonralla. This special
vocal contribution has lieen specially
written by Mrs. Kletzer and is a
clever campaign song, said by those
who heard It this afternoon In re
TTearaal, to be worth going to hear.

to tho Stars and Stripes." Lyman
Spencer will sing Kipling's "Reces
