tion, gets out of jail, while another
Joseph Wilson, is not released ac
cording to the following account in
a Portland paper:

son on a writ of habeas corpus pro-
eedfngs in Judge liean's court on
Tuesday morning on - the ground
that evon though he might not be
hold under the Internal revenue
law by which he was arrested and
which was declaerd later to have
been repealed by the national pro
hibition law, his offense showed a

Sam Conrad whose casxj was the
same except that his arrest came
earlier was ordered released by the
court because he has already served
six months in jail the maximum
penalty under the prohibition law.

of water in the Laurentians, being
85 miles in circumference, and in
the network of waterways that
