Enjoyable Picnic
Held at Yoncalla
One of Ilia most enjoyable event
of the season waa the picnic held on
July 18'h at Olalla. on the Irelind
ranch. The picnic waa sponsored by
the male members of the community
In honor of the Busy Stepper's Club.

man, and a moat notable feature
waa the botmteona banquet aerved
at noon. A. fl. Ireland and Earl Oll
vant distinguished themselves aa paat
maalera of the rulTnary art by a
numbr of delicious blackberry plea,
end Mr. Ireland rave further evi
dence of hie ability aa chef by pro
ducing a perfect loaf of bread which
was nt one christened the "Rroad
Axe Loaf". Fred Agee preiilded over
a teaming kettle rif hot dogs and
boiled eggs which be aerved to all
rnniera and Mr. WIlBon waa respon
Ibla for tha fried chicken. At 130
