criminality In Germany shows no
sign of abating. Jails are tilled to
capacity with the thieving frater
nity, and from those guilty of grand
larceny down to the sneak thieves of
new arrivals have to be temporar
ily released from custody owing to
lack of room in the penitentiaries.
Here are some of the principal
thefts and robberies reported In the
last few days
Burglars broke Into the Berlin
stock exchange and forced a safe
open from which they took 3,600
marks and five typewriters.
At Kreisau, the mausoleum of
Field Marshal Von Moltke was
broken open and the silver wreaths
and crosses stolen from the scar
cophngus. Tho .field marshal's
sword was found broken.
A band of armed robbers forced
