"in a coy corner of the City club
Sheik Wallace said tho new organi

fraternal ordiT with a purpose. It is
against the prohibition of light wiuev

Bolshevism and stands ready to back

"There is no religion end to the

"We turned down an offer of a

'he ability of the animal to withstand
a long drought and a long desert to
be crossed before we reach the final

AIIK MAKING IMPHOVEMEXTO. .
The Douglaa County Light and
Water company are this week mak
ing several Improvements at the
power plant at Winchester, according
to the manager, Mr. Jennings. The
holler letting! are being changed by
lowering the grate bars about 16 In
ches which give! additional depth
'ti the firebox. The depth when the
change Is completed will be about 48
inches Instead of 24 Inches as previ
ously. They are also making the
.'.ratis six feet as they were former
ly and the shape of thj firebox is
being changed to a V-shape Instead
of square. This waa fouud neces
sary as the old fireboxes were built
lor burning coal and as they now
stand they will give more space and
will be better adapted for burning
slab fuel. It will take about three
weeks to complete tho changes.
