Attempts Suicide
A sensational story not unlike
those featured tn the Sunday news
paper magazine sections, leaked out
today when It became known that a
prominent married lady ot this city
who has been keeping company with
one of the young men of Roseburg.

ago when the young man refused to
have anythtng more to do wtth her.
It Is said that she went to her room
in her home and saturated her pillow
with chloroform and then retired,
undoubtedly In the hopes of killing
herself. A short time later her hus
band arrived on the scene and at
oneo noticing the strong odor of the
chloroform, hurriedly made search
for the origin. He found his wit? In
her room partially unconscious from
th. effects of the drug and was sue-
ceesful In reviving her. It Is also
