I'M.
No tires hearing the Goodyear name, not even
the famous Goodyear Cords which equip the
world's highest-priced cars, embody a higher
relative value than do Goodyear Tires in
the 30x3-, 30x3V and 31x4-inch si:cs.
In these tires owners of Ford, Chevrolet,
Dort, Maxwell and other cars taking the
above sizes are afforded a measure of per.
formance and service such as only the
world's largest tire factory devoted to these
sLcs can supply.
All that this company's experience and
methods have accomplished in these tires is
available to you now at the nearest Goodyear

Governor Olcott
Endorses Program
PORTLAND, April 27. Governor
Ben W. Olcott of Oregon has en
dorsed the Salvation Army home
service program for 1920 and the
liiiBnclal campaign to raise funds
with which to finance the program.
The endorsement came to the Sal
vation Army headquarters at 513
Chamber of Commerce building,
Portland, In the form of a communi
cation to the people of Oregon. The
'etter follows:
To the People of Oregon:
It has been called to my attention
that the Salvation Army contem
plates retting aside the period from
May 1 to May 10, Inclusive, for Its
home service campaign, at which
time It will seek to secure funds
from the people of the stnte for the
purpose of advancing Us home ser
vice work.
The Salvation Army has outlined
a very' comprehensive home service
program for 1920. We are all fa
miliar with the magnificent services
which the Salvation Army gave dur
ing the late war. In a general way
we are familiar with the work which
that splendid organization Is doing
et home anions the downfallen and
the needy. The concrete results of
this great work are not so well
known to our people as the Army In
thousands of cases extends its help
ing hand quietly and without osten
tation. The Salvation Army has en
tered a field which no other organl-7-i'ion
touches, with unto! results
for good.
I am certain the p.'ople of Oregon,
who have always responded liberally
to worthy causes, will not he lax In
this respect. I can conceive of no
more worthy causes than genuine,
whole-hearted and well planned or
ganization to give nrslstnnre where
assistance Is actually needed.
Verv s'ncerely vours.
