neers has gone to tin a! rest. At r.-i
Margaret I mbler was born in ,M ui
gan county, Ohio, on .March 4, I s 2 7 .
and died at Albany, Oiegou, on April
1J, I ; I it, having reached the ad
vanced age of 'J2 years, one month,
eight days. While yet a young child
her parents moved to lloone county,
Indiana, where uhe grew to woman
Hood, Til ere she was married to
Needom 1 mbler. They came to Toil
land, Oregon, In 1Hj2, traveling over
the old Immigrant trail by means ol
ox teams, being six months on the
way. They first located in a t i in
hered district in what is now the
business, center of Portland and
lived there for about two years.

they traveled was an unusually large
one, approxitnai ing 1 ;lo wagons.
They encountered host ile I nil ta lis,
severe btoruis and other hardships
incident to such a long Journey un
der the primitive conditions (hen ex
isting. Their party Included her

husband and two children.

t hey moved to the L'nip'tua Valley,
locating on a donation land claim

bun; and Winchester. They later
purchased a farm beyond Kdenhowcr
near what is known as the Conn lord

into Uoseburg. where she resided un

made her home with her daughier.
