MEETING CALLED fOR TOMORROW TO TAKE LIP LOCAL CANNERY MATTER A special meeting of the Mer chants' Association and all others In terested is called for Tuesday after noon at 4 o'clock sharp at the city hall for the purpose of determining the possibility of continuing the operation of a cannery in lioseburg. There is a constant demand from our farmers for definite information re garding the establishment of u per manent eannerey here. Some definite action is necessary and there is no time to be lost if this proposition is to he seriously enter tained. A meeting of the Grange members representing many farmers having acreage available may do called tor Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The action taken at Tuesday's meeting will determine the question for this season s berry and vegetable rops; also the advisability of calling the meeting for next "Saturday. The project depends largely upon the credit our local financial institu tions are able to extend and also the financial support pledged by the growers producing the material necessary to run the cannery. Murders of clergymen constitute the latest feat ure of Bolshevik terror in Kussiu, says lYofessor Peter Struve, a dis tinguished Kussian economist, who has escaped from Russia and arrived Kngland after hiding from I lt, liolsheviki for months in Moscow md after a long journey on foot to reach safety in Kngland.
