ROSEBURG BOYS MOVE
TO NEW CAMP IN TRANCE;
TAKE EINAL TRAINING
J. E. McClintock- this morning re
ceived several more letters from his
sons who are serving with the L S.
forces in Frances. They recently
moved from their quarters at Nexon
and are now located at La Couriine,
which is in the Auvergne mountains
of south central France. They are
at an elevation of 7400 feet ahove
sea level and the atmosphere is very
tine. They say they are splendidly
located, with real beds and excellent
food. Their immediate party in
cludes John and Leon McClintock,
Herbert Quine, Cecil Hlack and Clar
ence Tester. In another company in
the sam;1 new camp are (Jeo, Willed,
Hert Kates and John Ashworth. No
men t ion w us made of Humphrey
Rankin and Archie Milligan, so it is
assumed they are located somewhere
else. They are about fifty miles
from their former camp, and report
a tine trip from there, though they
were crowded into box cars with
their equipment. Two of the boys
made the trip with an ambulance.
They are now taking their final
training before actual service al the
front, and for the first time are
amidst the roar of the big guns.
When this training Is finished they

At present the hoys are having a j
very enjoyable time, along with j

view, the latter being the tlrsl which
had reached them, sand were, of
course, eagerly read. All the hoys
