Douglas County, was in Kugne ou
Thursday nuking arrangement with
the Title Abstract Couipauy fur an
abstract of the records of records of
lauds which were placed in Douglas
County by act of the Legislature in
says the Kugene tiuaru. The
Legislature in that year changed the
boundary between the two counties
from an Irregular boundary to con
form with the township lines, thus
throwing some land troiu Lane to
Douglas and some irom Douglas to
I.ane. The last Legislature passed a
law compelling the county court of
each county to secure an abstract of
the records of the other county on
such lauds us were taken into its
jurisdiction.
It was to complete arrangements
with the Title Abstract Company, of
(his city, for such an abstract cover
ing the lands transferred to Douglas
County that Mr. Lenox visited the
city.
Lane County has contracted with
(be Commercial Abstract Company,
of Itoseburg, for an abstract cover
ing the lands taken into Lane
County.
Mr. Lenox was accompanied to
Eugene by Mrs. Lenox, and they
spent some time visiting the court
house and county oflicials.
