Placing the matter In the light as Interpreted from the Jitney ordin ance, the councihnen found the ques tion somewhat in com rnv-rsy. The ordiiu.mv requires that persons en gaged in carrying passengers for hire shall be licensed, bill whether transfer men offering the same ser vice are also affected, was a matter for judicial deliberation. It was finally leit to the city attorney to present hii opinion at the next meet- ng. The side of the transfer men was! presented by V. S. French, of the Kretich Transfer Co., ami H. J. Ienn.
