survey, which It in proponed to im

election, several men of the party ar
rived here this afternoon on their
way to take up other highway work
to the north.
The men in the party were K. B.
fllhop, Charles Noble and I'at Haley,
and they will leave here tomorrow
morning for CreHwell, where they
will take up the survey of parts of
the I'acific Highway previoUHly left
uncompleted. They had been nix
weekt on the route east from .Myrtle
Point and have practically relocated
an entirely new road. The Kiirvey
wax under the direclion of Engineer
C. C. Kelly.
According to one of the men thffl
afternoon, the proposed highway af
ter leaving the Coon County line will
follow a water grade hh much hh pos
sible and will therefore touch the
present road in only a Tew places.
The western end of the road will be
nerr llrockway and Round Prairie.
One line was run over the mountains
to llrockway, but at the hitler point
two possible terminations wore made
because of one of the routes requir
ing u new bridge across the river.
The choice of the routes to be Im
proved will probably be decided be
tween the County Court and the
State Highway Commission, and tuay
be made known some time within the
next two or three months.
The men staled this afternoon
that it was their belief $100,000 of
the proposed bond issue would ho
spent in improving this road. They
said the road would not have n grade
anywhere in excess of fi per cent,
and although much grading would
have In he done, the cost would not
be excessive, in proportion to that on
other roads.
AMer surveying a few days at Yon-
citllu the crew will move to Creswell,
where they will finish several unsur-
veved piirts of the Pacific Highway.
The men are of fhe opinion the bond
issue will carry, and In such event
are positive a large amount of money
will be spent in Ibis county.

estimable bride is one of Koseburg's
most accomplished young ladies and
has a host of friends here. She at
tended the Itoseburg public schools
and Is popular locally. The Review
joins in wishing the happy couple
