This is his first engagement in Hose
burg, and a glance over last night's
audience, which included many peo
ple prominent in business, educa
tional and professional circles, pro
vided ample testimony to hiB ability
and the fact that thoughtful, intelli
gent people are interested in his
work.
Alexander presents his entertain
ment in two acts, for which he has
provided attractive mountings since
his last appearance here. The first
act is given over to a series of mysti
fying divertisements which are by
far the best that have been seen in
Itosehurg.
While all of his work holds the
interest, the keenest appreciation is
shown in IiIh Simla seance. People
throughout the audience are given
the privilege of submitting written
questions to Alexander, 'concerning
their personal affairs, past, present,
and future, and it is these he an
swers in the seance, creating at
times quite a bit of comedy.
Alexander says he does not believe
in mind reading. He said last night
that he did not believe the Creator
would give one human being the
