was taken up with Commissioner K.
J. Adams and it met. with his hearty
endorsement. He also promptly ac
cepted the invitation to be present

As Douglas County has practically
twice as much of the state highway
as any other county in Oregon, it is
important thai the highway commis
sion come here at an early date and
took into the condit ions. This
meeting on Wednesday, March 2H,
will give our people an opportunity
to meet them and talk over the road
building program. The officers of Hie
Tri-State Good Boads Association,
represent ing i Heuon, Washington
and California, have ali-o promised to
in present at this meeting. During
the year HH 7, this association an
nounces its purpose to devote its
best efforts to the carrying of the

on June 4. and especially to the con
struction (if the Paeiiic Highway
