Out-chiiiBlng, out-nKhtlng and out guessing their opponents from the i south, the Eugene football simad ves terday wnded out of the proverbial seu of slime on Kincaid field with a well-earned 45-0 victory over Kose burg high, says the Eugene Register. Evenly mulched in veigllt. and' with no decisive breaks of luck, the local eleven simply outclassed the Koseburg squad. When on the de fensive the incnl 1n l.nl.l ..Ft time, Koseburg making first down only three or four times during the entire session. With the ball in Eu gene's possession a greater part or the game, the local backs tore around either end for gains almost at will and dissected the southerners' lines continually. Worthy of mention was the Eu gene interference. That great im provement has been in this depart ment was manifest. In the many long end runs the Eugene interfer ence seldom failed to clear all ob stacles from the path of Its runners. Captain Newman finished his high school football career with the most stensational run of the day, when he received the ball from the kick-off on nts own 30-yard line and battled his way down the field 70 vards for a touchdown. If individual stars are to be named it would not be unfitting to mention Hill, Scaiefe, Grany and Branden burg for Eugene. None of the visit ors' stars shone sufficiently to war rant comment. The final shriek of Referee Earl's whistle today terminated the local eleven's season. With four games won out of a total of six plaved, out weighed in every game played, and with Salem among those vanquished, the local high school fans are feeling well satisfied with the season's re sults.
