The last (lays of October will be
made merry with ninny Hallowe'en
entertainments and both this week
and next contains festivities of this
nature. Spooks and Hobgoblins,
witches and cvles, will frolic hap
pily on these various ocaslons and
have a lavt Irish before the coming
" frosty days t-hange the autumn reds
and golds to wintry drabs-.

popular and thimble parties are a
center of interest. A merry party
of young people plan to motor to
Lixonvillc Monday evening and there
enjoy an evening of dancing at the
iJixonville auditorium. Ott's or
chestra will play for the occasion.

Mrs. A. C. Marsters was hosier
Thursday evening at a beautiful ap
pointed dinner at her lovely home on
Itose. street, honoring Congressman
W. C. Haw ley, who spoke that even
ing at the armory. The rooms wore
elaborately decorated with white and
yellow chrysanthemums, choice ferns
and potted plants. The dining room
presented a very attractive appear
ance in rich red sprays of Autumn
leaves that mingled in lovely effect
with the deep yellow of clustering
chrysanthemums.
A large crystal bowl of yellow
chrysanthemums glowed prettily at
a table center around it trailing

The place cards were cleverly appro
priate to the occasion, showing a
photo of Charles L. Hughes and the
American flag done in colors. Kx-
iuisite favors consisted of small nut
baskets tied with airy bows of tulle
and filled with confections. Those

which will be given this evening at
Fiillerlon School under the auspices
of the Fullorton Parent Teachers As
sociation. This lias become a popu
lar annual event at Kullerton School
and an entertaining program will be
given containing musical selections,
readings and other enjoyable real
tires. The interior of the building
will he decorated in autumn leaves
and attractive Hallowe'en sugges
tions. Refreshments of pies, cider,
coffee and candy made by the ladis
of Kullerton School will be served.
