for Nearly Six Years Verdicts
of Lower Courts Sustained
By Higher Tribunal.
As the result of a decision handed
down by the Oregun Supreme Court

able that the estates of S. .Marks & !

be settled after being in almost con
tinual litigation for the past six
years.
The cases had their origination
here about six years ago, when Hy
man Wollenberg was removed as ad
ministrator of the estates of S.
Marks & Company and Marks & Wol
lenberg, and i:. L. I'nrrott was ap
pointed In his slead. About a year
later a number of alleged heirs of
the estate who were then residing in
Russia, instituted proceedings to re-
move Mr. I'nrrott as administrator -
before County Judge Wanacott and j while standing about his store
before County Judge Wanacott and ! this morning discussing the I'resi

The Russian heirs then authorized
an appeal to the Supreme Court "f
both the cases asking for the re
moval of Mr. I'nrrott as administra
tor of the estates, and nnniillment
of the order for the sale of the real
uronertv to satisfy the claims against
the estates. The two cases were i
combined in one brief, and were sub-;
niltted to the high court at one time.!
Today the Supreme Court handed j
down a decision in which it was held
that Mr. Parrott should be retained
as administrator of the estates, and
'that the order lo sell the property
was good. As a result of the decis
ion. Mr. I'arrott will be able to pro
ceed and dispose of the real properly
and pay those who hold valid claims
against the estates. Since the suits
were first Instituted the estates have
been deadlocked. Attorneys George
M. Drown, Dexter ltice and A. N. Or
cutt appeared for Mr. I'arrott, while
Attorneys C. S. Jackson and K. 11.

Although accurate figures were not
obtainable this afternoon it was
slated that the two estates represent
ed an approximate value of $ 1 -Don.
The lands involved In the es
tates is said to be very valuable and
the administrator anticipates little
difficulty in disposing of it in ac

Drain aggregation on the Hoseburg
field. The Drain ieam has been

vember another game will be played
with the Ashland team. Thanks
giving will witness a game between
the Rosebtirg and Junction City

, In a recent Issue of the Odgen Kx
amlner, published ut OdKen, Utah,
there appeared an article telling of
the unavailing 'search that was be
ing made for Drew Marshall, sun of
Mrs. A. T. Marshall, of Uosebun;.
The. young man was hunting duckH
some distance from Odgen at the
time he disappeared and his friends -feur
he has met with an accident
fruni shooting or (hat he fell into
ttear Itiver and was drowned. In ad
dition to his mother, the missing
man has live brothers and sisters
living in Itusoburg. A. T. Marshall
is ut present in Idaho.

Drew Marshall, aged .12 years and
manager of the Marshall Drug Com
pany, while hunting ducks along the
Hoar Itiver, l.i miles west of Itrig
ham City, suddenly disappeared Wed"

left Odgen Wednesday afternoon for
the Hear Itiver duck grounds to en
joy a few days' recreation before be
ginning to move into his new store
