The way to assure the continu
ance of such highly gratifying condi
tions is by the re-election of Presi
dent Wilson, who ha's accomplished
these things during one of the most
difficult and sanguinary periods in
the world's history.
As .Mr. Hughes in his campaign Is
denouncing nearly all of these high
ly beneficial acts, and otrers nothing
whatever in the way of constructive
legislation, it is of vital importance
to the whole country that President
Wilson be re-elected on Nov. 7.

Mrs. Marv Cochran,- aged

at s o'clock last night, according to
a telegram received- by Marshal T.

Looking Glass Valley for ninny
years prior to 1S1I0, when she moved
to Portland. She has'since made her
homo In the latter city. She is sur
vived by seven children, as follows:
