Mr. Walker is in the real estate business. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Heard and lit tle grandson left for Myrtle Creek 4his morning, where they will visit 'tor the next few days with relatives. Illoom, former manager of the Antlers theater, arrived in Rose burg from Portland this morning, and will remain a few days while attending to business affairs. Mrs. Clnude I dirt rum and baby, of Tiller, and sister. Miss Hazel Cor nell, of .Medford, left for the latter place this morning, where Mrs. Har trum will visit a few weeks. Miss Edith I 'eland left this morn ing for Herkeley, Cal., where she will attend the Cniversity of Califor nia for the coming year. The school will commence there next week. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Marion, of lioyup River, who had been visiting recently at Handon, left for home this niorning. They stopped here f a visit with Mrs. A. Schlndler. Miss Mildred Houghlatt, of GraB Valley, Cal., who had been visiting here with Miss Vera Sykes, left for her home this morning. She re cently returned after spending some l i mo in Montana. llarrq Honney, of Medford, former deliveryman here, passed through this morning after a trip to Eastern Onciin on account of the death of his father. While here Mr. nonney visited with James Newland and other friends. Rev. and Mrs. W. 11. Eaton will leave here Monday for Sodaville and Cascadia, Linn County, for a two weeks outing trip. Mr. and Mrs. II. W. Strong and daughter will also be members of the party. Hoth fam ilies will go by auto. Rev. W. J. Kenton, of Portland, spent last night in this city with Rev. C. H. Cleaves. He was for merly pastor of the M. E. Church, South, in this city. From here, ac companied by A. C. Rexroad. he goes into the mountains above Tiller on a "Uing trip.
