' 'J w TWELVE MEN KILLED Explosion ef Compound at Rub ber Tire Plant BOLD TRIPLE MURDER IN OHIO Tw Convicts Hanged for the Murder of a PoDcenan Two More Aviators Meet the Usual Fate (Special to the Evening Review). DETDOIT, Mich., May 15 Twelve men are known to be dead from an explosion which wrecked the one story concrete plant of the Mexican Crude Rubber Co. at Delray, a sub urb. The police and firemen are searching the ruins for other victims. Ten men are known to be missing. Unverified reports said that at least thirty workmen are imprisoned in the wreckage. All the city ambul ances were rushed to the scene. Ten were killed outright, their bodies be ing recovered. Three who were bad ly mangled were removed to the Sol vay hospital. Two died soon and a third is dying. The explosion re sulted from the Ignition of a com pound used In the manufacture of tires. The shock shattered hundreds of windows and shook scores of buildings in the neighborhood. From the latest reports it is be lieved that the number of dead from the explosion did not exceed eleven. Ten are known to be dead and an other is dying. Seven were seriously injured. A jail yard today for the murder of Policeman James Archibald, of Van couver, last May. Mrs. Matilda Massle, aged 75; her son, Robert, aged 45, and daughter, Mary, aged 42, were found murdered in the Massle home at Greasy Ridge today, 25 miles south of here. Hurley Beard, a farmhand, aged 21, is miss ing. Mrs. Massle'8 body was found In the front yard, her skull being crushed, her throat cut, and her hands tied behind her back.
