Murshall, who will conduct the services, left Salem this morning at 1 1 o'clock for Portland to meet Mr. Gile and confer with him. Although no definite announcements can be made at present, It Is expected that the body will arrive here tomorrow afternoon. . May 1st. proved a great success. The three different schools were represented. A program was rendered by the pupils from the dllferent schools, also music by the baud. Interesting talks were given by Rev. W. II. Eaton, Sttpt. O. ('. Drown and our teacher, Wilfred Brown. After a bounteous repast at the noon hour the crowd proceeded to the Dixon grove, where the Dlxon ville baseball nine played ball with the Benson school boys, the Dlxon ville nine being defeated. The day was greatly enjoyed and will long be remembered by all who were present. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Christcnson, of Winston, visited Saturday and Sun day with the families of E. W. Main itud M.
