A few more sunshiny days and we shall have plenty to eat. C. W. Groves was the first in the valley to market any ber ries, receiving 2Uc a box for the first and 15c for the last. The ladies of the valley met at Mrs. J. J. Hetts' Thursday afternoon, and organized the M. B. (Mutual Benefit) Club. The following officers were elected: Mrs. Hadduck, Pres.; Mrs. Reese, Vlce-Pres. ; Mrs. Maude Cooper, Sec. and Treas. After hav ing organized they were served with light refreshments, which were en joyed by all. On May 14 th the club will meet at Mrs. Cooper's at 2 p. m. All the ladies are Invited to come and join. Will Johnson has his planting all done, and most everyone has their corn planted. , Quite a number in the valley are having good luck raising chickens, so the preachers will know where to go - to get yellow legged chickens to eat. We organized a Christian En deavor last Sunday eve at the Glen gary school house. Mrs. C. W. Groves is president. Everyone come and help, and be an active member. Miss Mae Morrison is leader for next Sun day night. The prayer meeting was well at tended liiBt Wednesday night. Mrs. Maude Cooper was leader. Hurrah for Glengary Valley! We are having another month of school. D. C. McGhehey had bad luck this week. His best horse was cut by a disc. Miss Mabel T. Boardman Announces That 4.500 Nurses Are Enrolled.
