land for a regional reserve bank. The
secretary said the report that the
board had decided to establish 12

ed, as no decision had been reached,
and none would be made until all
the testimony collected at recent
hearings was fully weighed, when the
board will determine the number of
banks and the placet where they will
be located. The secretary said he be
lieved there was no opportunity for
the selection of either Cortland or
Seattle, as the aggregate banking
capital of the district composed of
Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Mon
tana, was tint sufficient to warrant n
regional bank In the district.
