DEATH OF DUK HOUJIXBAIGH.

and 7 days. Deceased had been in
bad health for several years, suffer
ing fmui diabetes. His home has
been at Caiiyonville, Douglas Couutv,
for leveral years, but he was born In
Hapuy Valley, in this county. He
came from Southern Oregon last
July. Mr. Bollenbaugh was not mar
ried. He is survived by his father,
Simeon llollenbuugli, who resides at
Canyonville; his mother in this city,
one brother, three half-brothers and
three half-sisters.

of hot water at his pareuts home
on Hills Creek last Friday and was
so severely burned that he died early
haturdny morning, despite all the
skill of the physician called. The
llttlo boy was playing with his bat
pulled down over his eyes and the
holler of water was on the floor, and
in running about the room the little
fellow stumbled, fulling into the
boiler before his mother could catch
him.
