On Sunday. Nov. 23, Rev. H. Wyee
Jonen ind Mr. Paul Hlackatone will
. begin evaugallatlc meetings at the
HaplUt Church. They are coming to
Koseburg to auk you to listen to their
lory of the life of Jesus Chrlat and
to plead with the people of Rosoburg
to follow him, by leading the best
possible lives.
Tbelr Idea of religion li not cant
and tinging; but that of active good,
and the beat posilble citizenship In
the whole world. They believe that
Chrlat la the highest pattern which
men can follow after, and that peo
ple ahould copy after him.
Rev. Jones and Mr. Hlackatone are
traveling men, pleading the cause of
Jesus Christ. They have been suc
cessful, not In converting ' men In
such huge numbers, but In leading
men to lead lives that were better
than they ever lived before, not only
for a day or a week or a month, but
IW''Wr'fPf,nSBS!s:

lives.
It Is due to the last visit of Mr.
Jones to Roseburg that a number of
Roseburg's citizens changed the
course of their lives. He presents
the principles of Jesus In an attrac
tive and very powerful manner. The
Raptlata of Roaeburg cordially invite
every one to come to the services.

MOTHER! IS CHILD'B
STOMACH BOUR, SICK?
If tangue Is , coated or If eroae,
: feverish, constipated, give "Call
torn la Hjrup of Figs.
Don't scold your fretful, peevish
child. Bee If tongue Is coated; this
Is a sure sign Its little stomach, liver
and Dowels are clogged with sour
waste.
When listless, pale, feverish, full
of cold, breath bad, throat sore,
doesn't eat, sleep or act naturally,
has stomachache, Indigestion, dlur
rhoea, give a teaapoonful of "Cali
fornia Syrup of rigs," and In a few
hours all the foul waste, the sour bile
and fermenting food paaaes out of
the bowels and you will have a well
and playful child again. Children
love this harlesa "fruit laxative,"
and mothers can rest easy after giv
ing It, because It never falls to make
their little "Insides" clean and sweet.
, Keep It handy, Mother! A little
given today saves a sick child to
morrow, but get the genuine. Ask
your druggist for a GO-cent bottle of
"California Syrup of Figs," which has
directions for babies, children of all
ages and for grown-ups plainly on
the bottle. Remember there are
counterfeits sold here, so surely look
and see that yours Is made by the
"California ' Fig Syrup Company."
Hand back with contempt any other
fig syrup. Adv.
