Some years ago 1 visited th fr west, pusslng through region that had been Infested bjr the wont el uient of society. I put up one night at the house of John Murphy, a sheep raUer. During our conversation 1 stated the opinion that men were what women made them. Then ha told me his story. "You're dead right atranger," be said, "and I'm one of the men that have been made by a woman.
