away, when a still more numerous

tacked the gulls. The rooks, being
about two to each gull. Ihtppod and
rushed the gulls until they withdrew
to a Held some distance off. The vic
torious rooks then proceeded to enjoy
themselves In the Held, having rtrst set
what were apparently sentries along
the side of the Held. It :is iiniuMng
to watch these sentries huMUm: away
any gull whti-h M rayed too near. It
has hivn noted by naturalist th:it this
setting of sentries Is In accordance
