Ledgerwood, at prominent Orient business man, died at his home hero Tuesday night, ufler a long Illness of cancer'of the stomach. Mr. Ledgerwood was born at Kose burg, Or., Gti years ago, being the on of Thomas and Elizabeth Ledger wood. He came to Spokane County tn 1878 and for a number of years engaged In contracting during I lie period of construction of Kurt Spo i J kane. In 1882 he homestendcd In the Col umbia River Valley, near Rice, where he resided for many years and raised his family of five children, four sons. Cline, Frank, Howard ami Walter, and one daughter. Glen. His wife died 11 years ago. He leaves four brothers, W. E. Ledgerwood. of Port land; T. J. Ledgerwood, of Orient; Christopher A., of Colvllle, and L. F., of Rice, and one sister. Mrs. W. T.
