Mexican Congress today accepted the
resignation nf President Mad"ro and
will elect Diaz provisional president.
According to present plans, Madero
will be examined by physicians, do
clared insane and sent to an asylum
for the criminal insane. When peace
is declared lie will be pronounced
"cured" and banished from the coun
try forever. Meanwhile, Oeneral
Huerta Is acting as military dicUtur.
The city Is comparatively quiet.

R. Mode, mother of five children,
was accidentally shot and killed by
her ten-year-old daughter today. The
girl had picked up a revolver from a
table, when It was discharged, the
bullet entered Mrs. Mode's abdo
men. She also leaves a husbnnd.
W. II. Atterbury nnd W. L. Henry
today took over M. C. Burleson's
lii-ii k and stone manufacturing plant,
corner Oak nnd Pine streets, and will
commence operations there on March

ing business In cement nnd building
work in connection with tho manu
factory. Primitive simplicity marked the
hair dri'ssing of tho RoBeburg High
School girls today, all such acces
sories as "rats," switches, etc., being
discarded for tho simple uncoiled
braids of the days of their grand

on the part of the girls, in accord-

convicted in the Circuit Court here

a demurrer to' the Indictment against
Hugh Pearson and Bert Taylor,

the Winchester dam. Cardwell will
attack the statute under which the
Indictment was brought, declaring

A bill by Blanchard of Josephine,

LONDON, Feb. 19. The residence
ot Chancellor Lloyd-George at Wal
ton was wrecked by a bomb last
night. Scotland yard detectlvM ara
convinced that suffragettes are re
sponsible for tha outrage. A bomb
placed In the servants' room shat
tered the walls on one side of the
house and broke every window. The
house was Just built and was receiv
ing finishing touches. An nnex
ploded bomb was found In the front
room.
Fresh automobile marks on the
driveway baa strengthened the belief
that suffragettes plotted the deed,
knowing no Uvea were endangered.
It la reported that a limousine occu
pied by two men and several women
waa seen near the residence. Two
broken hatpins were found on the
floor of the front room. The house
will have to be rebuilt. Mrs. Emma
line Pankhurst denied today that
suffruguttes planted the bombs.
