Nearly every male member of the
Grange gathered at John Casebeer's
ranch Tuesday and spent the day In
horvestlng the potato crop. Mr.
Casebeer is confined to his bed with
an attack of Inflamutory rheumatism,
and was not able oil that account to
caro for the spuds.

and Mrs. Wm. Melton spent Tuesday
in Roseburg.

plastering a house for Mr. Vogel, on
Oak Creek, has finished the contract
and returned to hia home in this
valley.

er and Lawrence Gilliam attended a
party at Glide last Friday evening.
Miss Helen Moore, who has been
visiting f rinds in Roseburg for some
time past, has returned to her home
at Mountain View farm.
Elze Euibree, who was detained In
Roseburg several days lust week with
repairs for his saw mill, has re
turned with the repaired parts and
the mill Is again busy.
Rickaby and son, who have Just
completed a new ham for J. M.
Moore, are at present busy finishing
up Tom Hatfield's new barn.
Next week, Friday, the Grange
will give one of Its programs for
which It la ao well known. The en
tertainment will consist of a couple
of one-act plays, musical selections,
etc., and will be completed with a
box supper. Everyone is invited and
the ladies are especially urged to
bring boxes.
At the last meeting of the Grange,
held Saturday evening, after the us
ual routine work was disposed of,
the following program was rendered:

Saving Devices on the Farm," Alva
Hunter; solo on the flute by Mr. J.
