Mr. and Mrs. Albert Culvert, father and mother of .Mrs. Goo. A. Haton, arrived In Sutherlln last week from Creswell and will make their future home here. C. M. liugheB and family arrived here lust Saturday from Idaho with two carloads of livestock aud house hold goods and have taken up their residence on a ranch west of Suther lln, which Mr. Hughes recently pur chased. Sutherlln Valley Is being well rep resented this week, through the Luso Land & Development Co., at the great Northwest Land Products Exposition In Minneapolis. The exhibit consists of fruits, vegetables and grains, and is said to be the finest which has ever left the state of Oregon. W. S. Duer, of Hastings, Nebraska, who spent several weeks in Sutherlln lust spring, returned here the first of the week with his family and household goods and will make this valley his future home. Mr. Duer has a fine orchard tract on the east side of town, on which he will build a modern homo enrly the coining year. Tho blackboards were tastefully decorated with designs of California wild flowers and of per spective and object drawings, and specimens of tho pupils' drawings on paper of free hand nnd perspective drawing were displayed, reflecting much credit upon their teacher.
