Mooney, ex-convict, on trial for white slavery, created an unprece dented scene in the Circuit Court room this morning. After getting on the witness stand Mooney again fell on the floor and Judge Hamilton adjourned court until 1 : :i 0 o'clock this afternoon, when Mooney repented his actions in a smaller degree. Attorney W. v Cardwell. counsel for the prisoner. insisted that his client was in no con dition to testily, and his request for ronlinuance of the trial until 9 o'-: clock tomorrow morning was granted Upon the application of both Card well and District Attorney Brown the court commissioned three local phvsiclans to examine into .Mooney i condition, mentally and physically The physicians named are Doctors A. Their belief is strongly supported by Aiootioy's unsavory career in other states. Upon entering the court room hA remarked to the Judge that he had "just drank a quart of whisky" and was "awfully drunk." He was sharply enjoined to sit down, and obeyed, but he did not remain quiet by any means. While the witnesses lor me siuu; were testifying, Mooney's head lolled back and forth anil his arms hung limply at his sides. He fell off of his chair several times and was assisted bak.
