Again the trusts are Heading out
their aante old eampalKn cry: "Let

realize that I Ho pi-eHi-nt conditions
are "well enough" for Iho triiHlH. All
they aslc In not to he disturbed. This
therefore explains their present anx
iety for the re-election of Tuft. So
long aa he Is In the White House he
can he depended upon to veto all
tariff reduction hills, and thus con
tinue the apodal privileges which the
ti'ustR now enjoy, and through which
by eliminating competition, they con
tinue to exact enormoiiH prlccH from

the lowering of the high cohI of liv

Evm-ylioily should be glad that Col,

his liic last Monday evening. While
that shot gave him more free adver

take the chance of the desperately
narrow uberratlon of the would-be

life. While millions hope that he
may live for many years, It is not at
all probable that he will ever again
he elected to the Presidency. Ills

the defeat ol Taft and that with the
divided vote that Wilson win proo

M Soresjfe Not Cancerous
While all Old Sores are not cancerous in their nature, every slow
healing ulcer eliowa a degenerated condition of. the blood. Virulent impu
rities in the circulation produce angry, discharging ulcers, while milder
and more inert germs are usually manifested in the form of indolent sores
or dry,-scabby pla'x.-a. Kffortrt to heal nil old sore with externul npplica
tious always result iu failure because such treatment does not reach the
Dloocl, and Ihc ulcer will continue to cat deeper into
the surrounding flesh as long an a polluted circula
tion discharges its impurities into it. S.S.S. heals
old sores of every nature by purifying the blood.
I It goes to the fountain-head of the trouble and
I drives out the germ-producing poisons and morbid
f impurities which prevent the jilace from healing.
Then a stream of rich, nourishing blood, which
S. S. S. creates, causes a perfect and natural knit
ting together of all flesh fibres, making a thorough
and permanent cure. The sore does not "come
bnck" when S. S. S. has made n cure, because its source has been des
troyed, liook on sores and ulcers and medical advice free,

sue of Oetoher 1G, 1912, which says:

joined in wedlock hy Rev. Dr. W. S
Barnes, pastor of the First Presby

CIVIC DITIKS VKitsrs
TIIK I'OMTICAIi GAME.
Ida M. Tarbell says one of her
chief objections to woman suffrage
Is that "It takes the attention of
women from what I believe to be.
their real civic ditties hy Interesting
them In the politfeal game, when
they should be concentrating their
attention on specific civic work.
All right minded women want IhlB
work done, hut they differ as to the
method. The suffragist thinks the
ballot the panacea for all 111b of so
ciety. The nntl-suffraglHt believes
that the constant and effective In
fluence now exerted by women on
legislation nud public affairs Is duo
to t lie character and Intelligence of
tho women who advocate good causes.
A woninn now Interested In a matter
of public welfaro Is known to be un
selfish and to have only the interest
if her cause at henrt. The Bame
woman under woman suffrage Is only
one of many political unlls, with Ig
norant nnd Indifferent women voters
added to tho other element, arrayed
against her success.
A few women today are idealizing
the ballot, while what will really
solve juvenile delinquency, liitompcr-
ince. the while slave traffic, anil mo
social evil Is education, education and
more education in the homes and
from the earliest hour of childhood.
,n,i i herein lies the civic, duly ot
women, bigger than the casting of
iny ballot, and absorbing enough to
occupy all l lie women m uuumi im
all time.
It In to keep the women of this
stale out of the "political game" and
leave them free for till greatest of
all their duties that we ask you to
vote against tho woman suuiaBc
inieiidiiient at Ihc coming eiecuo n.
