Wamock to the Pacific Development Company passed, transferring the property on which the Warnoek. Uros.' flour, feed and grain store stands at the corner of East Eighth and Pearl Btreets. While the com pany Is said to be In no way con nected with the Portland, Eugene & Eastern Hallway Company, several gentlemen who are Identified with the company are also connected with the Pacific Development Companv, among (hem K. W. Waters. It is said that Mr. eon, owner of the 15 story Yeon building In Portland. Is also a member of thocompany. 'lhe deal was first contemplated some mouths ago, about the time that the P. E. & K. was taking options on several pieces of property here, which have since resulted in trans fers, and noiwlthstanding the do nlnls, it Is believed that the purchase is really for the Interests allied wilh the Southern Pacific. It is recalled that similar denials were made by the Southern Pacific with reference tu the ownership of the PaclCic Great Western Kallroad Company and the legotintlon for the P. E. & E. stock through Itobert Strnhorn. The prob ability Is heightened hy the an nouncement that the contract does not call for possession for six months. it is pointed out that six mouths hence the rainy season will have set in and that It will not be a very satisfactory time to begin the erection of an eight-story office building, which it Is announced will ho built. The purchase Is another In dication of the intention of the Southern Pacific and the Interests wilh which it is connected to make Eugene a great center of activity. The property has a frontage of 1 14 feet on East Eighth Btreet and a frontage or (iu feet on Pearl street am! East Park street. LARAMORE TELLS JROUBLES Udy In Goodwater Describes Her Distressing Experience and Tells How She Was Finally Relieved. Ooodwater, Mo. ''Ever since I was little girl," says Mrs. Riley Laramore, "1 was a great sufferer from dyspepsia. I suffered misery after eating, and had terrible heartburn. I thought I had to suffer this way as long as I lived, but when I began to take Thedford's Black-Draught, in small doses, every night, the heartburn was all gone In a few days, and 1 could eat without distress. I took two small packages In all, and although that was some time ago, the dyspepsia has not returned. I speak a good word for Thedford's Black-Draught whenever I have the op. portunity." If eating causes distress, we urge you to try Thedford's Black-Draught. It cleanses the system, helps the stomach to digest its food, regulates the bowels, and stimulates the liver. It acts gently and is without bad after effects. Try it. Price 25c. WOMAN' M.lii:il.l IN luisEiii itti says untnv TllltEATENEI) TO KILL. OKEGON CITY, Or., June 18.
