Hot shot for both Taft and Roosevelt for their failure to cripple the trusts in their formative period is being poured out through this state by Senator I. a Follette of Wisconsin in personal speeches which are a feat ure of a sizzling fight for the Repub lican delegates which Ib at its height today. La Follette made two speeches at Jamestown and one here. Tonight he will speak at HlHmarck and to morrow at Grand Forks and Fargo. Generally La Follette Is attacking both Taft and Roosevelt on grounds of their failure to hit the trusts and to revise the tariff downward. The primaries will be held on Tuesday and the campaign is the fiercest the state has ever seen. Roosevelt speak ers are flocking into the state and the La Follette men are fighting hack tooth and nail. Speaking at Jamestown, La Fol lette said: "1 will not personally attack any one Taft or Roosevelt but it Is time to Judge their records. If 1 had been President when the truBtB were forming when McKlnley and Roose velt were tho chief executives 1 would have summoned all the United States District Attorneys of the coun try, would have handed to each a copy of the Sherman law and said- 'Commit that to memory and return tomorrow.' When they returned 1 would have said: 'Now you know the law's meaning. Do "your duty. If you don't, I will put In men who will.'
