The woman's suffrage provision
parsed by a small majority, but this
can probably be explained by the fact
that the women's vote It received was
a sulixtaiitial vote.
The question of the "hour system"
nf examinations had an eiiuul num
ber of supporters and opponents.
The other measures that met with
approval were compulsory subscrip
tion to the Kmernld. Btuaent self-
government,, and the retention of the
two-hour examination schedule. Tbe
measures that were lost were Judicial
recall, single tax. and the retention
of the Missouri system of grading.
