Senborg ngainst Job Gilpin for title to a quar ter section of public land in town ship 34-!, east of Merlin. Josephine County. The claim contains. It is alleged, nearly 7 .000.0110 feet of tim ber. A little over two years ago. Gilpin entered the hind under the designation of a timber claim, declar ing that when he Inspected the prop erty there were no signs or naiitta tion on It. After Gilpin's tiling. Sea horg appeared and Inid claim to tl.e land as a homestead, alleging that he had squatted there previous to the Government Biirvey and that his cabin was erected before Cltlpin wenl on the land. Gilpin swears he saw- no cabin on the premises. This is the second hearing of the case. Th Roseburg land otlice sustained Sen lung's claim at the first hearing.
