Worms In Hogs
Worms are uot so easily pot rid v!
as lire lire. Miillcul treatment should
be first to liisen the worms, then
some purpatlvp to remove them, writes
H. K. McCartney la Hie National Stock
man. Copperas or iron sulphate,
which Is perhaps the oldest remedy
for worm'. Is still one of the surest
and liesf. It Is to be fed pt the rate
of a drum to each 100 pound of
weight. T!ie copperas is to be dis
solve! In hut water end then mlsed
with slop. This Is fed every sevoud
mornh:s f-.r a week when the pigs
are hungry. If the case is bad the cop
peras should lie fed for another week.
Each evenins nfter feeding the cop
peras a li'ht dose of epsom salts
should be given to hasten the removal
of the worms which the copjieras has
loosened In the intestines. The pics
should be removed from their regular
feeding pasture before worm medicine
is administered.

The main points in caring for milk
Intended for the cheese and butter fac
tory are to strain it immediately
through a Sue wire or cloth strainer
and removing as soon as possible to
where the air Is pure, aerating proper
ly by means of an aerator. The longer
the night's and morning's milk cnu 1-e
separated the tietter. and the milk
should always be protected from rain
nnd sunshine In a place where there
is a free circulation of air. Whey or
sour milk should never bo brought
back to the farm In the milk cans, and
these as well as the palls after being
washed should be subjected to steam
or bolting water. American Cultivator.
