grand Jury at Salem against A. 11.
Yoders. formerly principal of the
Woodhurn schools. He Is charged
with assault and battery, the com
plaint being in connection with al
leged caresses which he showered up
on., one of bis young girl students In
the school.
Willie C. C. Inman. a mining en
gineer of Medrord. was coining to
Grunts Pass from Swede Hasln Sat
urday by auto his machine struck a
high spot in the road and threw In
man against the top of the machine
with such force as to partially dis
locate the neck bones. He has a
chance for recovery.
Little Arthur Potts, aged 3 years,
and sou of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M
Potts. of Grants Pass, died as the
result of a plunge Friday, Into a tub
of hot water. A grocery deliveryman
ailed at the house and Mrs. Po'ts
answered the call and took the goods.
The little boy accompanied his
mother to the door, and as the

the kitchen, a gust of wind slatnui'-d

child and throwing him into a tub
of hot water which rested on the
