Governor West to day named a committee with one representative from each county ex cept Multnomah, which has a repre sentation of five. On this committee 1b also named the State Cranim irnnrt roads committee, which Includes C. E. Spence, of Clackamas County; A. I. Mason, of Hood River, and A. L. Shaw, of Linn. Governor West Bays that from re ports he has received a bewildering array of road laws will be submitted to the people at the next general elec tion by various organizations. A premonition that housebreakers would enter his home and attack him probably saved the life of Dr. Charles Platner, who lives near Needv. Mon day night. Shortly before retiring Dr. Platner became possessed of the Idea that two men were going to enter his home that night.
