Telegraph unci telephone communi cation has been cut off entirely from Coos Day on account of the severe storm which lasted several days. Trees falling in the mountains broke fho wires. The wind reached a ve locity of tiO miles an hour in the mountains, and in the timber dis tricts the trees wore falling for several days. The dredger Oregon, which the Government is working in the lower Coos Day, was damaged by the storm Four of the pontoons were sunk, and it will take some time to get the dredge in shape to work again. The high wind caused some trouble- with electric light wires. Many trees have failed over the stage roads, and travel overland has been delayed.
