Queen, the undersigned, who were
supporters or the auccessful candi

aiding the candidacy of another con

voting Monday evening. The rail
road men of Itoseburg, who were
openly supporting . Miss Vaughn,
placed a large sum of money in hei
interest against what all observer
believed at the time to be a larire
sized purse In support of another
candidate, but which, when the
votes were counted, appenred to be
the small sum of fifty cents and the
remainder a quantity of blank checks
drawn on certain wind bituks uf
northern Washington. If that Is a
sample of sportsinunship and fair
play of the North country, well ana
good, but It should be a lesson to
profit by In future contests, that will
