The estimate for the cost of con ducting state Institutions falls to the legislative committee and does not come under tne province of the Sec rotary of State. The cost, for the last two years. Inclusive of the Institu tions, was $3,048,037.51. Although It probably will be 'he first of the ocming year before the Anal state tax levy is made ud. Basing this on an es timated valuation of $830,000,000, the two-mill tax will raise $1,660,000 for state purposes.
