ball park Thursday afternoon, the
husky gridiron warriors representing
the Multnomah Amateur Athletic
Club lipset calculations of the wise
oneB by defeating the crack Univer
sity of Oregon eleven, 6 to 0.
One lone touchdown, made by 'lea
Ludlam, one of Multnomah's speedy
ends, Just one minute after the
game started, proved tbe only score
of the day and sent tbe admirers of
the University home in the deepest
gloom, for Oregon was generally
figured to win and In betting circles,
odds were quoted at 2 to 1 with
varsity " the favorite.
While the touchdown scored' by
Multnomah was of the fluke variety,
resulting from a fumble by Chandler
of a forward pass Just after the club
men had kicked off, opening the
game, the winged "M" players played
around the university team In almost
