Armor delivered a powerful address there Sunday after noon to fifteen hundred people in the Chautauqua building, and he wished the people of Roseburg to know Mrs. Armor was great and not to fail to hear her at the Armory Tuesday evening, Oct. 11. doll Portland Welcome: it was a hard task for Municipal Judge Tazwell to undertake Thursday morning to straighten out a family quarrel be tween Kirby Drennen, a former ball player, his wife, Mrs. Pauline Dren nen, and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Sallle Drennen. After spending half an hour listening to the charges and counter charges, the Judge concluded that the tangle was too much for him and In order mat new light may be thrown on the case by the testi mony of witnesses, a continuance was granted. Klrby Drennen was arrested ou a charge of using pro fane language, while his' wife was taken to jail -on charge of assault. Mrs. Lizzie Drennen testified that when she left the home of her brother-in-law last Saturday, where she had been living, she left behind some of her Jewels and an especially irlzed ornamental hair comb. Mon day she went to recover her property and was told that it was not there. While persisting in her demand the row took place which is the basis of the present complaints.
